Amazing and good news for the lovers of coffee. Scientists have found that people who drink coffee live a long life. So, this is the solid reason to start the day with a strong cup of coffee.

There are different health benefits associated with drinking coffee. It lowers the death risk due to heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, and respiratory and kidney disease for African-Americans, Japanese-American, Latinos, and whites.

The people who consumed a cup of coffee a day were 12 percent less likely to die as compared to those who didn’t drink coffee. And the association is even stronger for those who take two to three cups of coffee a day. Their habit reduced 18 percent chance of death.

Lead author of this study and an associate professor of preventive medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC Veronica W. Setiawan said: We cannot say drinking coffee will prolong your life, but we see an association. If you like to drink coffee, drink up! If you’re not a coffee drinker, then you need to consider if you should start.”

The previous research by USC and the others have indicated that drinking coffee is associated with reduced different types of cancer, liver disease, diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and other chronic diseases.

Setiawan said: “coffee contains a lot of antioxidants and phenolic compounds that play an important role in cancer prevention. Although this study does not show causation or point to what chemicals in coffee may have this “elixir effect”, it is clear that coffee can be incorporated into a healthy diet and lifestyle.”

Last year it is announced by the World Health Organization that drinking coffee reduces the risk for uterine cancer and for the liver.

“Some people worry drinking coffee can be bad for you because it might increase the risk of heart disease, stunt growth or lead to stomach ulcers and heartburn. But the research on coffee has mostly shown no harm to people’s health.” Setiawan added.

So this is the good news for the lovers of the coffee that they can improve their health by drinking coffee and also reduce different types of diseases. And this research provides information to the people who didn’t drink coffee. Coffee is beneficial to health start drinking it today.
